Lesson Overview

Baskin 1

Introduction - short presentation of the origins and principles of Baskin as an inclusive sport.

Baskin is an innovative team sport inspired by basketball, designed to allow people with and without disabilities to play together under the same rules, by assigning each player a specific role that values their abilities. It is not only a game, but also a social laboratory where inclusion, cooperation and creativity become concrete experiences, thanks to the "design for all" approach applied to sport.

Baskin 2

In this session the participants learn how to teach Baskin. The instructors (both certified Baskin Coaches and Trainers) will explain concrete educational exercises to propose to children in Physical Education classes.

Participants will be divided into small mixed groups and guided through a set of progressive activities:

- simple warm-up games to get familiar with the adapted rules

- role-based exercises where each participant experiments with different opportunities and constraints

- a short match simulation in which the group experiences how collaboration and strategy emerge when diverse abilities are recognised as essential to the team`s success under a codifed game. This phase emphasises the embodied experience of inclusion: discovering how each role, regardless of physical or technical skill, contributes meaningfully to the collective game.
