Lesson Overview
Fascial Floss
Capoeira
Fascial Floss is a technique in which an elastic latex bandage is applied in a circular and overlapping fashion around joints and tissues. It is considered a CBT - compression band therapy, used in manual therapy and sport to treat and prepare the fascial tissue. During the course we will learn to apply the bandage to ankle, knee and hand wrist to improve movement, reduce pain and speed up repair processes, and also give more flexibility, elasticity and give the tissue the change to respond better activity and sport.
Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art accompanied by music. It focuses on acrobatic and rhythmic movements. New movement patterns are tried out and reinforced in a playful manner to promote a healthy body awareness. During the capoeira class we will learn the improvisation of a series of attack and defense movements, mostly carried out without ever touching the other player supported by traditional Brazilian music. This experience will take us into the world of capoeira, as an educational tool, a sport, a philosophy of life and an art form. Capoeira is for everyone, men, women and children.
